Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF)
The Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) is one of Asia’s most reputable platforms for filmmakers, film professionals and filmgoers from all over the world to launch new works and experience outstanding films.
Screening over 330 titles from more than 50 countries in 11 major cultural venues across the territory, the Festival is Hong Kong’s largest cultural event that reaches an audience of over 600,000 including 5,000 business executives who attend Hong Kong Film and Television Market (FILMART), a concurrent event of the HKIFF.
Committed to discovering new talent, the Festival premieres the breadth of Chinese cinema and showcases Asian talents. As a lifestyle event, festival-goers can enjoy world-class films, attend seminars hosted by leading filmmakers from around the world, visit film exhibitions, join celebration parties, and more.
The Festival draws extensive media coverage from over 560 global press members and continues to grow in vital importance as the premier platform to launch films to Asia.
The 36th HKIFF will be held from 21 March to 5 April 2012.

Asian Film Awards (AFA)
Inaugurated in 2007, the Asian Film Awards (AFA) is an international pioneering programme, honoring filmmakers with outstanding achievements in the field of Asian cinema. Eminent filmmakers and superstars from around the world are invited to bestow awards upon winners of each category, making the ceremony an elaborate extravaganza. A panel of jury, comprised of international professionals and prominent members in the community of world cinema, will select among eligible films produced in the region in that year and decide the award winners. Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF)
The Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) is widely recognized as one of the most important film-financing platforms in Asia. HAF brings Asian filmmakers with upcoming film projects to Hong Kong for co-production ventures with top film financiers, producers, investors, distributors and buyers. Attended by 1,000 filmmakers and financiers, twenty-five projects are selected to participate in this three-day event. With a leading track record of bringing projects to completion, films emerging from the HAF have won numerous awards and achieved box-office records, including Teddy CHEN’s Bodyguards and Assassins, BONG Joon-Ho’s Mother, PARK Chan-Wook’s Thirst, LU Chuan’s City of Life and Death, HO Yuhang’s At the End of Daybreak, Brillante MENDOZA’s Kinatay, KIM Jee-woon’s The Good, the Bad, the Weird, KUROSAWA Kiyoshi’s Tokyo Sonata, NING Hao's Crazy Racer and EKACHAI Uekrongtham's The Coffin.

The 10th HAF, from 19-21 March 2012, together with Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (FILMART), from 19- 22 March 2012, will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Summer International Film Festival (SIFF)
Presented by the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society, the Summer International Film Festival is a film event that draws a youthful audience of over 13,000 from cinephiles to filmmakers. From Asian pops to Bollywood and to restored classics, the SIFF presents more than 30 films with over 70 screenings of the trendiest titles from Asian cinema and the latest award-winning films from world-class film festivals, paying homage to the legendary masters of film-making from around the globe.
The 6th SIFF will be held from 9 to 23 August 2011.

Jockey Club Cine Academy (JCCA)
Jockey Club Cine Academy (JCCA) is a 3-year film education programme presented by The Hong Kong International Film Festival Society (HKIFFS) and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, with the aim to foster film literacy among the youth in Hong Kong. It is the first comprehensive film education programme presented by the HKIFFS for both Hong Kong educators and students. The JCCA aims to bring film education, an important part of media literacy in the 21st century, from an opportunity enjoyed by a privileged few to become an integral part of youth culture in Hong Kong.

Macao International Film and Video Festival
Since 2004, The HKIFFS has co-curated the Macao International Film and Video Festival, a 10-day event held in association with the HKIFF. Providing a selection of approximately 12 films to the Macao Cultural Centre, the HKIFFS also invites the cast and directors to Macao, offering the local audience the opportunity to participate in Hong Kong’s largest annual cultural event.
Hong Kong Film Panorama
In collaboration with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office based in Brussels, the HKIFFS curates a travelling film festival of 7 Hong Kong films which tours over a dozen European cities, including Berlin and Amsterdam. As a year-long touring festival, the Hong Kong Film Panorama screens new Hong Kong film titles plus selected titles under special theme.
KINO
Co-curated by HKIFFS and presented by Goethe Institut Hong Kong, KINO is an annual event dedicated to delivering a better appreciation of German film culture and arts to the Hong Kong community. By presenting a spectacular line up of German films of different styles, with award-winning hits and a “Director in Focus” section, KINO is now widely-regarded as an eagerly anticipated event for cinephiles who wish to acquaint themselves with the German arts.
KINO will be held in the Fall from 20 to 31 October 2011.
